So I did something really really really exciting today. My hair dresser stylist person told me I really need to stop washing my hair every day because its not good for it, it’s unnecessary, my curls don’t like it, etc. and for the past few days I’ve been doing actually pretty well with doing that, much better than I thought I would, but I ran for the first time today since then and I’d washed my hair this morning so I knew I shouldn’t again..I even texted my friend (her mom is my hairdresser) to confirm and she said to just rinse it but the thought of that made me want to rip my hair out and roll around and die.
Probably should have prefaced this with the fact that I’m extremely obsessive compulsive, I’m ritualistic about a lot of things but especially my hygiene procedures. I wash my hands a lot, I /have/ to shower every day or multiple times a day if I get off schedule, and up until like 5 days ago I’d never taken a shower without washing my hair. But anyways. After my run I showered and just rinsed my hair. And I have not died. My skin is only crawling a teeny bit. But I’m okay. Little victories man.
